Tata coal license to become top India investment in Russia Far East
MOSCOW, Jan 26 (PRIME) -- Tata Power’s victory at an auction for a 25-year license for the Krutogorovsky coal field in the Kamchatka Region will become India’s biggest investment in Russia’s Far East, India’s Ambassador to Russia Pankaj Saran said in an interview with Rossiya 24 television channel on Friday.
“Negotiations on the project began several years ago and I am glad that the company has won a license to develop the coal field. It will be a large investment, possibly, the largest Indian investment in the region,” he said.
